Sheltering Arms

SHELTERING ARMS provides temporary housing for the homeless and is located in Orange. Their motto is: "to shelter, feed, clothe and restore the homeless".   Besides serving  Orange, they also serve Culpeper, Madison, and Louisa counties and anyone who is in need.  Through the generous contributions of our church, we have been able to donate cleaning items, clothing and bedding.  Especially needed are clothing for men and bedding (twin size).  These aforementioned items are always needed as is any miscellaneous items such as previously donated stationary, water bottles, pocket calendars, lunch bags, etc.

We have had outstanding success and the Women's Group will be continuing with this outreach effort.  So, when you start cleaning out your closet (the gently used clean items), please keep Sheltering Arms in your thoughts.  Also, when you find a household item on sale, please purchase an extra one to help this homeless shelter.  You may put your items in the box located in the fellowship hall.  Any questions please contact us at JUrion@kirkocliff.org.
