Take Me out to the Ballgame Eighteen members and friends of Kirk O' Cliff had a great time at the Flying Squirrels baseball game on Friday evening, August 5th. It was the perfect night with clear skies and cool breezes. We had some concerns that we might be sitting in "nose bleed" seats, but we ended up in the front rows of the upper deck by the first base line which was a fantastic view of the field. There wasn't any scoring in the first few innings. John Hansel urged our Pastor to give the home team some spiritual support. The Flying Squirrels suddenly came alive and scored 5 runs in the fourth inning! The Portland Sea Dogs just couldn't recover. It turns out our Pastor is quite a baseball expert. Donn explained the finer points of the game as he kept track of the runs, hits, and errors. Donn played professional baseball in North Carolina after college. Who knew???? Dave Fosdick

Ash Wednesday Service (Feb 22nd) will be held at the Kirk at 7:15PM. Don't forget to arrive at the Fellowship Hall at 6:30PM and be treated to a Pancake Supper hosted by the Presbyterian Men.
